Personality. Personalidade.

In my concept, personality is a thing one lives its entire life reformulating, creating and shaping. I say that people that has their personality solid and formed, has nothing left but death.
But hey, that's my opinion! Personality is not something we are born with, like a bar-code already de-codified and ready to use. Although, there are people that say we are born with SOME personality traits, which I believe we do. Nonetheless, throughout our entire life, if one has an open mind, what is noteworthy, one is very likely to absorb a lot from outside stimuli, whether they are "right' or "wrong".

One should be that kind of person that likes to hear EVERY single thing one has to say about the other. One should want to know why such opinion and what led into that conclusion. And at the end, one SHOULD NOT take those words as an offence, whatever they are.

 I will tell you some of the reasons why I think that;

1- If one is open minded, and want to be a better person everyday, there aren't better people than the outsiders to tell what's "wrong" with ones personality. Bearing in mind no one is better than anyone, neither one should seek to be perfect. However, one should want to be a better person than he/she used to be, seeking to be better for its own self and no one else. Knowing that after all, being a better person reflects into other's people too, which at the end it is what we seek to do, be better FOR others and not better THAN others.

2- People that say they have their personality formed and confronts a lot with what is "out of their world", should be ready to death. This person won't take anything in, this person will live arguing with others that have a slightly different opinion than his, and what's more, this person won't seek change. There was a Brazilian singer, Raul Seixas, that once sang;" I prefer to be that ambulant metamorphosis, than to have that old formed opinion about everything...".

3- Since we are likely to absorb form outside stimuli, one should be aware of what's "right" to be taken in and what's "wrong", if there are such differences. I would say, if you measure what you're taking in, as EVERYTHING in excess is bad, you're in a safe zone. Not all the "wrong" things are absorbed as literally wrong, they can serve as an inspiration to do/be otherwise. Just be wise choosing them.

I also think that we cross each others path to learn and teach. We all have things to teach each other, as we all have things to learn with each other. When you work hard to show someone why they should change their behaviour, what they could change on their personality, how they could broaden their horizons about the world and the spectacularness of the interrelationship with people and cultures and you finally know that the work has been paid off by the learner learning it, it's an awesome satisfying feeling. And what's even better, listen to others saying he/she has an inspiring personality! Oh, it makes you just fell awesome, because you know your hard work wasn't thrown out of the window and some of it all came form you too.

"The human kind usual task in life is to give birth to themselves, and become what they potentially desire. And the most important tools to success are their own personality." (Erich Fromm)

As pessoas deveriam ser aquele tipo de pessoas que gostam de ouvir CADA coisa que um tem a dizer sobre o outro. Um deveria saber o por que de tal opinião e o que o levou a essa conclusão. E no final, um NÃO DEVERIA levar essas palavras como uma ofensa, sejam elas quais forem. Eu vou dizer-lhes algumas das razões o por que eu penso isso;
